About
Family Focus

Family Focus will work together with members of any household where problems are affecting family life.. We’ll listen respectfully and without judgement to anyone who comes to us for help.

We’re committed to improving quality of life, for both you and your family.

We have strict protocols for confidentiality, information sharing and safeguarding. We’ll explain these carefully when you contact us, so you won’t have to worry about private and personal details being shared without your permission.

We’re different from some other family support organisations you may have come across. We don’t just offer signposting, or practical advice and guidance – though these are available if that’s what you want. Our staff are skilled professionals with many years’ experience of working with families, couples, young people and groups. So we can provide you with specialist input: it could be a single meeting, or it could be a sustained programme of therapy over a few months. It all depends on what suits you best.

We can help you face up to – and do something about – a whole range of matters affecting family life. Some of the most common ones include:

  • Substance misuse
  • Eating disorders
  • Anxiety, depression and other emotional difficulties
  • Child and adolescent behavioural problems
  • Bereavement
  • Anger management

Regardless of how we make these services available to you – whether via Family Focus alone or with help from other agencies – you’ll always be involved in planning the programme so that it fits in with what you and your family aspire to. We’re here to improve your experience of family life, not ours!
