Anyone who has a close relationship with someone who has developed problems with drugs or alcohol knows the devastating effect that this can have on relationships. These weekend seminars offer advice, support and guidance for carers of people with a substance misuse issue. The two days consist of educational lectures, narrative work directed at exploring and expressing feelings and are conducted in a safe support group environment. The objective being to validate participant’s experience and explore ways of encouraging positive positioning in the family whilst promoting self care.
